Dr Ammarah Raees
Lecturer in Mathematics & Data Science
Dr Ammarah Raees, a Lecturer in Mathematics and Data Science at the School of Computing & Mathematical Sciences, brings a strong background in fluid mechanics and nanofluid research. She holds a PhD in Engineering Mechanics (2016) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where her focus was on nanofluids, bioconvection, and heat transfer, and an M.Phil. in Applied Mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University. Her experience includes postdoctoral research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, during which she collaborated on several projects with Huawei Telecom, and a Research Fellow position at Shanghai University, where she advanced the understanding of thermal transport in nanofluids.
Previously, she served as a Faculty Member at the Faculty of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Huai'yin Institute of Technology, China. Dr Raees has considerable experience supervising undergraduate projects and teaching courses such as Mathematical Modelling and Discrete Mathematics. Her research interests encompass nanofluid modelling, the Homotopy Analysis Method, and Fluid Mechanics, and she has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, reflecting her ongoing work at the intersection of engineering applications and fluid mechanics.
